| Standard Carrier Alpha Code® (SCAC®) |
A SCAC Certificate of Assignment is a document that shows the active ownership of a SCAC.
The following information displays on the certificate:
- SCAC: The unique Standard Carrier Alpha Code®
- Assigned Date: The date the SCAC was assigned.
- Assigned To: The identifying company name, address, and FMSCA details
- Company Contact: The primary company contact person listed on the SCAC account.
- Expiration Date: When the SCAC is set to expire.
- QR Code: Once scanned, confirms your company name, city, state, DOT number, and MC number as well as the status of the SCAC.
SCAC Certificates shows how the company identity was verified in one of two ways:
- Identity verified via NMFTA's ID Verification process.
- Identity verified via FMCSA Data.
