Your carrier type (i.e., Class 8 or non-Class 8) determines whether ID verification is required during the renewal/reinstatement process.
To view the carrier type on your SCAC Account Profile:
- Login into your account at scaccode.com.
- Click on the SCAC header to expand its details.
- Look for the Class 8 Carrier field.
- If No, then your identification is confirmed by a government ID. This means that you will need to go through the ID verification process at renewal.
- If Yes, then your identification is confirmed by FMCSA Data. This means that you will not need to go through the ID verification at renewal.
