Using the ClassIT+ Reference Item Lookup

The Reference Item Lookup feature makes it easy for you look up and reference a specific item from the Calculator. By selecting an item, you can view its specifications directly on this page, helping you ensure accurate and compliant calculations.

To add a reference:

1. Go to the Calculator. See Accessing the ClassIT+ Calculators for more information. 
2. From any tab, scroll to the Reference Item Lookup section.
3. Click Search NMFC Number. 
4. Search for the item you'd like to reference. See Searching Using the Default Search for guidance on using the Search feature. 
5. Click on the item is the search results, and then Select for Reference. The item is now displayed in the Reference Item Lookup section on the Calculator page. 

If the item you are referencing contains links to notes, packages, rules, or other items, then those links are not enabled from the Reference Item Lookup section. Only links for the Class are enabled and allow you to see more details regarding that class.
