Searching Using the ClassIT+ Detailed Search

Please note the following: Our search results are based on opinions formed from data and input values at the time of the search and are applicable for the life of the shipment. Our historical data is searchable, going back 10 years.

To use Detailed Search:

1. Go to the Search feature. See Accessing ClassIT+ Search for more information. 
2. Enter an item number, keyword, or series of words, and then click Detailed Search. All possible search results are displayed and organized by Index, Articles, Rules, Packages, Supplements, or Dockets.
3. Click on a tab to view the results for that topic, i.e., Index, Article, Rule, Package, Supplement, or Docket. 
4. Click on a result in the left panel to view that item's full details in the left panel.

Detailed Search results on the Articles Tab are organized based on best match/most relevant.

TIP: Click the item number to open the search result in a full-screen dialog box. To close, simply click X.

From the search results, you can:

• View more results within the same Generic Header, if applicable. See Working with your Search Results for more information.
• Click on any of the links within your search result to open additional information regarding the item and the information associated with it. See Working with your Search Results for more information.
• Click on the item number so view that item's full details in a dialog box so you email or print or even see it's recent history. See Viewing, Emailing, and Printing an Item's Details and Viewing an Item's Recent History for more information.
• Add a Comment, save as a Favorite, or go to the Calculator and use this search result as a reference. See Working with your Search Results for more information. 
• When Expanded View is enabled, you can view the attendant notes in the results.
• When searching using Detailed Search and the Expanded View option is enabled, the search item is the focus of the results in the right panel. 

As you type your search query, the search feature automatically makes suggestions based on the criteria you enter, after you enter at least two characters. See Searching using Suggestions for more information.
