| Standard Point Location Code® (SPLC™) |
SPLC Online offers several options for finding SPLC information. You can search by any or all of the following:
- SPLC number
- Full or partial name of location, point, rail station, town, municipality, etc.
- Specific Comments
- Cross-referenced codes
- State, county, or province

Once the search results have been generated, you can further define the results using various filters or by reorganizing the data.
To search for SPLC information:
- Log into SPLC Online. The Search SPLC Online page opens.
- Enter the search criteria using one or any combination of the following methods:

Searching by SPLC
To search by SPLC, enter the partial or full code.
If a partial code is entered, the search results list any SPLC that begins with the same partial code.
For example, if you enter 0123, then all codes that start with 0123 are displayed. -
Searching by Location/Station name
To search by Location / Station name, enter the partial or full name of the location, station, point, or cross-referenced location, etc.
The search results list the following:- Any SPLC that has a location, station, or cross reference that begins with the entered text.
- Any comment that contains the search text.

Searching by County
To search by County, enter the partial or full name of the country.
If a partial name is entered, the search results list any SPLC that are in a county that begins with the same partial entry. -
Searching by State/Province
To search by State / Province, click the drop-down and select the state or province in which to search.
To search in all states and provinces, select Any State.
The search results list all SPLCs that are associated with the state(s) and/or province(s) selected.

| If searching for a comment, use the Location / Station field. The information entered in this field can appear anywhere in a comment; therefore, the search results will list all comments that contain the entered text even if the comment does not begin with it. |
- Click the Page Size drop-down and select the number of results to view on each page.
- Click Search. The page refreshes with the search results listed at the bottom of the page. See Filtering the SPLC Online Search Results for more information.
