SUMMARY: During the SCAC Apply process, added a checkbox to indicate that you are applying for a new SCAC that is in addition to any existing SCACs assigned to your company. This helps us confirm that you wish to purchase a new SCAC instead of renew or reinstate an existing one.

Updated ID Verification Statement on Renewals and Reinstatements for Non-Class 8
SUMMARY: Updated the ID Verification statement on renewals and reinstatements for non-Class 8 to highlight that the fee is non-refundable. The complete statement is as follows:
“Proceeding with ID Verification will incur a non-refundable $5 fee. Your payment method will be charged automatically when you click Continue. Note that if your verification was in review and has been approved, you will not be charged this fee again.”

Added an ID Verification Statement on Renewal Notices
SUMMARY: Added an ID Verification statement to 30-, 60-, and 90-day renewal notices that reads, “ID verification is required for non-class 8 carriers during renewal.”

Added ID Verification Review Notifications
SUMMARY: During the renewal or reinstatement process, you will automatically receive an email notification when your ID Verification status changes from In Review to Approved or Declined.

Added a P.O. Box Message to Renew and Reinstate Processes
SUMMARY: During the Renew and Reinstate processes, a message now displays informing that any P.O. Box addresses associated with a SCAC must be updated to a physical address.

Added a P.O. Box Statement on Renewal Notices
SUMMARY: Added the following statement regarding our P.O. Box policy to the renewal notices:
“Note that we do not allow SCACs to be affiliated with PO Box addresses. If your SCAC is affiliated with a PO Box, please contact NMFTA Customer Service.”
