| Standard Carrier Alpha Code® (SCAC®) |
SCAC Verified is a directory of SCACs, providing key details on who owns a SCAC, their name, address, and FMCSA details (if applicable) along with the SCAC’s status (active or expired) and verification method (by ID or FMCSA Data).
SCAC Verified helps our customers confirm the validity of a carrier and has been designed to enhance the security and accuracy of ID verification, becoming a fundamental resource for our customers as they create their trusted profiles for the carriers they work with.
| Important: NMFTA explicitly bans extraction of user data for any purpose outside the product’s core function as well as collecting information for unsolicited emails, texts (TCPA/CAN-SPAM), calls, or the creation of marketing lists. |
When you purchase SCAC Verified, you have access to the directory of SCACs and can view important information about a SCAC such as:
- SCAC
- Name of Company
- FMCSA information
- Registration Date
- Active or Expired Status
- Address
- Verification Method (FMCSA Data or ID Verification)
|
There are two identity verification methods within SCAC for carriers: Verified through FMCSA Data means that as of the date of SCAC assignment/renewal/reinstatement, the Carrier’s safety record confirmed identification, as retrieved from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) Company Snapshot website at https://safer.fmcsa.dot.gov/CompanySnapshot.aspx. For a complete list of acceptable IDs, see the following: |
