The National Motor Freight Traffic Association’s Synopsis of Opinions provides a compilation of informal opinions (interpretations) as to which provisions of the National Motor Freight Classification have been held applicable to certain, specific products. As such, NMFTA’s Synopsis of Opinions is a useful tool in determining correct bill of lading descriptions for rating purposes and in resolving disputes between shippers and carriers.
