For customers who do not have a current SCAC account, applying for a SCAC is easily accessible from the NMFTA website or from the SCAC login page.
Once the SCAC application is complete, a new profile is created for the applicant and the appropriate role is assigned. For example, when a carrier submits a new SCAC application, the carrier role is assigned, and their permissions are based on this role.
Our partners – Railinc, BIC, and UIIA – can reserve and activate SCACs ending in U, X, or Z using the Manage Reservations feature.
