Reinstating an Expired SCAC from the Account Profile

Standard Carrier Alpha Code® (SCAC®)
This article is intended for carriers.
To reinstate an expired SCAC from your Account Profile:
Go to your Account Profile and click on the SCAC you wish to reinstate. The SCAC Code Details section expands.
Click Reinstate SCAC. The Reinstate SCAC page opens.
The DOT Number, MC Number, MX Number, and FF Number will automatically populate on the SCAC Reinstate Code Details screen. Contact Customer Support to have these fields updated. See Contacting Customer Support for more information.
The company information will automatically populate this section of the Reinstate form, however you can edit any field that needs an update. When this section is complete, scroll down to the payment section.
Enter the payment information. You may choose to use the Use Company Address button to autofill the company address information. Accepted forms of payment include:
Credit Card: Select this option if paying by credit card.
Bank ACH: Select this option if paying by bank account.
Answer the question Are you a non-class 8 carrier?
If Yes, review the reinstatement price and details.
If you answer Yes, then you must have a DOT number associated with your SCAC. If you do not, then you are required to contact Customer Service and provide this information.

If No, click Verify Identity and follow the ID Verification steps. Once completed, you are redirected back to the Easy Renew form. See Using the SCAC ID Verification Portalfor more information.
The number of failed ID verification attempts is limited to three (3) failures withing twenty-four (24) hours. If all three (3) attempts result in failure, then the portal is automatically locked for twenty-four (24) hours.

Check the box to agree that the information entered is accurate and true.

Review the information and then click to complete your Reinstate Code transaction. Once the transaction is complete, an Order Confirmation screen will open with options to download or email the reinstated SCAC certificate. You can also download or email a receipt.
