Tips for Capturing Clear Images
We highly recommend that you use a cell phone or tablet to capture images during the ID verification process. Modern camera lenses on cell phones and tablets are generally superior to computer camera lenses, especially when it comes to focusing on an object.
The following tips can help you capture a clear image for your ID verification:
Lighting conditions: Avoid low, uneven, or bright, glaring lighting. A well-lit room with even lighting is preferable.
Pose and Position: When capturing your ID, the best position is to lay the ID on a flat, even surface and use a mobile device such as a cell phone or tablet to capture the image.
ID Surface Type: Some IDs have a high gloss effect from lamination. The best way to avoid glare from lamination is to be mindful of the lighting and to lay your ID on a flat, even surface.
How can I transfer the ID verification process to my phone or tablet?
If you are having issues capturing a clear image, we provide the ability to transfer to another device, such as a cell phone or tablet by scanning a provided QR code or sending to your email.
| The QR code is unique to the ID verification instance and is generated on demand. |
